Doesn't matter which subject you opted for NTA NET Exam, you cannot skip appearing in UGC NET Paper 1. This is mandatory for all the aspirants who're going to appear in the NET Exam. We have compiled for you the list of Previous Year Papers of UGC NET Exam.

PAPER 1

In Paper-I, the questions will be generic in nature, intending to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate. They are expected to possess and exhibit cognitive abilities. Cognitive abilities include comprehension, analysis, evaluation, understanding the structure of arguments and deductive and inductive reasoning.

The candidates are also expected to have a general awareness and knowledge of sources of information. They should be aware of the interaction between people, environment and natural resources and their impact on the quality of life. Let’s have a look at the exam pattern for Paper-I in detail:

Each section gets equal weight age: 5 questions and 10 marks from each section, i.e., 2 marks for each correct answer
